Here’s the fun part. Motema Ministries is truly an initiative in the making, so we actually need your help! Here are three ways you can:

Volunteer

We rely on your support for ideas and inspiration, resources and strength. So whether you’re a graphic designer, nurse, or a great writer, consider donating your time to Motema. Given the blessings of e-mail and the internet, you can contribute a lot regardless of wherever you live. Whatever you do, be it editing pictures, reviewing a blog post, or traveling with us to the Congo, it will be a significant contribution.

At Motema, we believe in being good stewards of the resources God has given us. In order to do that, we need people to keep us in their prayers. We’re human. We need guidance, wisdom, and inspiration. Pray for us and sign up below for our newsletter to get periodic updates on what’s going on in the ministry.

The money that you give is what allows our program to exist. Your financial support is more than a donation. It actually impacts real people’s lives. Consider contributing financially to our efforts. We’re always trying to get more hands on deck and more people involved in the work that we’re doing. This is a non-profit that started small, so every person’s contribution makes a significant difference. Read below to see if any of the opportunities match your skills. Do you like to write? Do you like to cruise the blogosphere? Help us manage our blog or help us think through/find interesting content. Finally, if WordPress is your friend, you’re our friend.

An important part of what we do is sharing stories. Join the crew of volunteers who edit pictures and put together videos from time to time as we share with others what we do.

If the idea of integrating African fashions into American wardrobe gets you excited, e-mail us. We’re trying to think of new pieces that would do well with an American audience.

We’re in the planning stages of starting up a computer training course in Kinshasa. We’d love some people to brainstorm with us and think through the issues (e.g. What would you teach? What software would you include? How fast of an internet connection might we need? How would you evaluate the program?).

This is the “I’ll do whatever” category. We love floaters.
